Canada. Australian travellers are the 6th largest national group to visit Canada. Some 174,000 travellers visited Canada, spending C$272 million in 2004 says Statistics Canada - www.statcan.ca
New Zealand. Australia is currently New Zealand’s main trading partner in terms of imports and exports of goods and services, says Statistics New Zealand. Of the overseas visitors to New Zealand, 31 percent of them or 528,600 were from Australia. Australian visitors, on average, spent 11 days each in New Zealand. Australian tourists contributed $907 million to New Zealand’s travel industry. www.stats.govt.nz

Kingdom. Visits by
overseas residents to the UK rose by 7 per cent during the 12 months ending
April 2006, from 28.6 million to 30.7 million, says National Statistics.
Australian visitors to the UK rose from 723,000 in 2003, to 915,000 in 2005
(26.5 per cent). The Australians spent £644 million in 2005.

United States of America. The number of Australian travellers to the USA increased in the first quarter of 2006, according to the official US government website - Office of Travel and Tourism Industries. Some 118,117 Australian travellers arrived in the USA in January-March 2006. Travel from Oceania increased almost two percent in the first quarter with Australia registering a one percent increase. Australia accounted for 82 percent of all arrivals from Oceania in the first quarter 2006. http://tinet.ita.doc.gov/
